Create 2 new layers in your label templete, make one a 22mm circle and the other a 40mm circle, color them obscene colors that standout. Place them in the center of the label. These will act as center hole templates you turn on and off as needed. You will now know if your text or graphic is too close or in the hole. Obviously they must remain above the graphic layer.
See screenprint below, zoom to 100% if needed.

That is a great tip tk m8. Very Happy Which version of PS are you using it looks
like CS2 I'm still stuck using 7.0 Crying or Very sad

Great tip about the obscene hole colors. Occasionally I'll forget to hide the layer I have with a white hole. Then I have to answer to the boss for uploading labels with a hole. The bright colors really stand out.

Yes it is CS2, I'm slowly feeling a little more comfortable working with it. Fun program.
