Finally! A chance the restore the franchise after a stunningly mediocre effort in the first movie, a chance at redemption for the the miscast ensemble of the world's greatest heroes to rise above their bad press and to prove everyone wrong. Too bad it didn't happen.

If you had followed the comic books at all the overall premise was fairly ludicrous. If you didn't follow the comic books the premise was even more ridiculous. the fantastic 4 came across as the fantastically whiny 4. Well, maybe 3. The character playing the Thing wasn't too bad, bad the others were so annoyingly self-absorbed, and changed their minds so quickly and easily that you could never believe that they were a cohesive fighting unit. Julian mcMahon was barely used as the villain, and the rest is special effects, which were actually pretty good. A tremendous disappointment. Just barely a rental, and only if you're a fan of the franchise and must see it.

I'll pass on it. The first one was at least passable but the second doesn't look to be worth the time to watch it.

Wasn't a big fan of the first one the only thing that saved it for me was
Jessica Alba if it hadn't been for her being in it I probably wouldn't have
finished watching it. Wink
