if you like the spidey franchise, you'll definitely like this one. you get 2.5 villians (you'll get the .5 part after watching), gwen stacey - they got her dead on! and some of the best fight scenes. plus ole' peter has to face some real tough things in his life... grade B+/A-

if you're into CHICK FLICKS you love this one. wayyy too mushy for me. although I have to rank it ahead of part 1, only because it has more villians....as you pointed out.

This one doesn't come close to being as good as part 2.

If this franchise is to continue (without the current cast i assume), I hope they focus less on the sappy *, and more on the action!! it's a damn comic book movie! act like it!

ok...1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10....i feel better now.

The special effects were great, and so were the villains. People complained about it being hard to follow because of the fistful of things happening but I didn't think it was at all, and I think the whiners are just a bit challenged.

That being said, I just cringed at some of the over the top and unnecessary romance, and there were a couple of over the top cheesy moments. I just had to shake my head at the swinging in front of US flag scene. I mean seriously, c'mon.

Overall I had a lot of fun watching it, and am glad I saw it on the big screen. It was a long movie, and it was the right movie for the franchise, had they only used the scissors a bit more and left more on the editing floor. Maybe next time.

Jst watched it, liked it fairly well, thought they could have cut out about 1/2 hr of it, but liked it over all B

Just watched it as well. Have to agree that the cheese should have gone out the window - it ruined it for me. I lost the "suspension of belief" at that point.

Great movie otherwise.

I think they could have gotten rid of that part where it looked like Peter Parker was trying to imitate John Travolta in Saturday Night live... Sheesh. Other than that it was good B-
