After a year of having no animals in the house, (we lost both of our boxers to old age and cancer in the last year and a half) my loving wife, Colleen, surprised me with this baby boy boxer. We named him Rip and he is the first brindle colored boxer we have ever had. He has a sweet disposition and gives lots of puppy kisses. Last night as we watched a Christmas movie and he was content to lay on the floor with me on my chest. The next year should be very interesting with Rip around. Laughing

Thats a great looking pup. Makes me miss my boxer. Sad The wife wants a miniature bulldog but Im not spending that kind of $ on a dog. Im debating between a min boxer or a min pinscher.

The nice thing about a boxer is that for a pure breed dog that are not that expensive. They have a ton of energy and are a lot of work the first year until they mature and learn the meaning of the word "CHILL". Laughing They are great with kids and are good protectors. I don't worry about my wife being home by herself sometimes when there is a boxer in the house.
My sister-in-law just got 2 miniature yorkies (small but great dogs) in about a 1 year span and just one of her dogs cost over twice what my wife paid for Rip.

I had a boxer but he died a couple years ago from cancer. They are great dogs. We want a small dog this time though. The min boxers are a little pricey around here but I found some min pinschers for $200. I dont know anything about them but I had a normal Doberman pinscher when I was younger and I loved that dog.
