Well, I finally got around to watching this movie, and then I wished I had waited just a little bit longer. Like maybe forever. What a hash. Johnny Depp can't sing, the story wasn't a good one for a musical anyway, and the music they did choose for it was trite and uninspired. Aside from the cinematography this movie had virtually no merits at all, and the whole thing was so predictable anyway that it was painful to have to sit through the horrible singing just to get to the end you knew would happen.

I'd say give this a miss, even as a rental.
