fantasy movie staring jet li and jackie chan. a young boy has to return a magic staff to the revive the monkey king. he is aided by martial artists who want to overthrow the jade warlord who rules the kingdom.
the kung fu scenes were ok, but the story a wee bit of a stretch. grade: B |

| yep. Completely agree. This movie was aimed at more of a family audience and would be perfectly suitable for youngsters, but for those of you looking for hardcore martial arts action you won't find it here. Still, pretty fun to watch. It's kind of like a fantasy version of the Karate Kid. |

Not sure after reasing this to rent it or not. I'm not a Jet Li fan, and frankly Chan is getting on a bit.... And the reviews seem a bit on the low. side. Think I'll pass.
