First time around I had alot of problems with install, had to do a restore, just put on the correct version and everything seems to be ok, took about a hr to install.

So far I have installed SP3 on 7 diff computers and no problems at all. There were some problems I heard on HP PC's with AMD chips but other than that I wasn't aware of anything.

I replaced my mobo and processor, used Xp Pro reinstall over the top of my old instalation - that woorked fine, but ever since then ive had this anoying bubble which keeps popping up telling me there are automaitc updates tio install. if you click OK it says then some of them failled (same ones every time) if you click no OK no-props untill the nest 10 minuits pass and they try to install again - verry frustrating/annoying i think you'd agree.

i'd heard all about the probems with SP3 so was reluctant to install it, but when the corrected version came out - i took a deep breath and installed it.

Ive had absolutely no probs with is - and it cured my annoying problem - happy Bob with SP3 over here!!!! Very Happy

Like others I held off updating, but took the plunge last night (after careful system restore points and backups!!).

Pleased to report no problems here - I guess I will have to repeat on my other PCs to be sure - One of which is an AMD Shocked
