This movie wasn't exactly what I expected. From the trailers you expect it to be a more madcap affair than it really is. Ricky Gervais plays a misanthropic dentist who after a near death experience develops the ability to speak to the ghosts wandering around town. While there's some obvious comedic elements to this the movie goes more along the road of Gervais' dry wit instead of the slapstick version, as he learns how to deal with people after repulsing them his whole life.

Not the constant hilarity that you would expect from the previews, but a story that's a little more human too. A half decent watch.
