john mcclain goes to russia to see about getting his estranged son from a russian prison only to find out that he is really a member of the CIA who is responsible, or so he thinks, for helping a russian dissident escape. little does he know the dissident has a plot in place to escape and to gather up some weapons grade uranium. it's up to john to help his son defeat the bad guys (and bad, hot russian chick) once again.

as sequels go, this one was one of the worse. i liked all of the die hard movies until this one and would say it's only a last resort movie. GRADE: D-.

Now that's quite a let down considering that all the rest of that franchise were quite good.
