These four shortcuts work when you really need them.
Example: you have the Free Transform tool active to scale an image and you need to zoom in or out. Just hold down the Space bar + Ctrl key and click your mouse on the image to zoom in. To zoom out hold down the Space bar and Alt key and then click.
Example: you are using your lasso tool to make a selection. You need to have your image magnified to where it does not fit in your screen to insure your selection is precise. Your lasso tool now needs to go to an area of the image beyond your screen. Just hold down the Space bar to temporarily activate your Hand tool, then drag your image in the direction you want. Releasing the Space bar will return you the lasso tool and you can continue with making your selection.
Here's another one. Hold down the Ctrl key to temporarily activate the Move tool. You can use this to move a guide or anything else you can do with this tool.
The zoom in, zoom out, hand and move tool shortcuts work with just about every tool that is active. _________________ If you can remember the sixties........you weren't there. |
