I can't figure how to do the effect I want in CS2. I am trying to take a still photo and then have a trailing effect of that photo across the document, I want the original photo to be in focus and the trail to be a motion blur. I tried the Filter/Blur/Motion filter but it doesn't give the desired effect. I tried with the cloning tool also but could not get the desired effect. What am I missing? Is there a trick or keystoke that I'm missing? Any help would be appreciated.

Try this one. make a mask on the image by using Free Lesso Tool (L) it should be a little outer than the edges of your required area. then press ALT+CTRL+D for feather and choose the size around 20 (or whatever you like depends on the image). then press CTRL+SHIFT+I to INVERSE the selection. now goto filter>blur>motion blur and apply the filter with a radius you like (usually depends on the image) |

Thanks, I will give that a try a see what happens. I keep revisiting the file I need this for and striking out, maybe this time I'll get a hit. _________________ No matter how many times you try...you can't clone the dirt off your screen. |
