Just an okay movie. Mos Def plays what I think is a mentally challenged kid with an annoying speach impediment. It really made the movie annoying whenever he talked, which was the whole movie. Decent movie, a little bland. No 'twists', just goes from A to B.

Thanks, I think I'll bump it down on few on my "Movies to watch" list.

It had a promising plot but it just turned out to be an average action movie.

I liked movie but took about a half hour to 45 minutes, just to get use to listening to him (Mos Def).

Doesn't Mos Def always sound like that, If I recall he sound the same in the Italian Job.

It took a few minutes to get used to Mos Def, but by the end of the movie I really liked his character. I thought 16 Blocks was good movie, I enjoyed it in the theater and the recent DVD release. The "Shocking Alternate Ending" on the DVD I didn't think was that great. It seemed very unlikely that it would go down like that. I'm glad for the one they put in the theaters, I probably wouldn't have liked the movie as much otherwise.

I actually liked the move, despite the "Voice." The ending caught me off guard, I didn't expect it. I give at least 4 stars to any movie that I don't figure out the ending before its over.

That's not his normal voice. Although he played the character well, was it even necessary for the movie. Maybe for comic relief?
Not one of Richard Donner's best movies.

I enjoyed the movie. I have to say, bruce willis did a good job looking like a run down older man. I was nervous...i don't like when movie stars i liked my whole life end up getting old!!! Smile

After half the movie, i finally put my finger on who MOS DEF sounded like in the movie...if anybody is a fan of IN LIVING COLOR, he sounds like the bum character that damon wayans always played.

it was just ok. grade C. sort of reminded of the old clint movie, the gauntlet, where he had to take saundra locke to the courthouse.

The movi is ok if nothing better is on. Mos Def is annoying as hell.Villis is getting old, and his character in 16 Blocks is somewhat an old John McClane from Die Hard series.
