There once was a sparrow who could not see the advantage of migrating. "Why should I fly hundreds of miles when there is food enough here?" he asked. The other birds tried and tried to convince him to go south, but he refused to listen. Sadly, they flew away and left him behind. At first things went well for the little sparrow, but as the days turned to weeks, he began to notice the chill in the air. One morning he awoke with frost on his wings. Shaking it off he flew down to get a drink and the water was frozen. Realizing that he should have listened to the other birds he thought, "Maybe it' s not to late!". And he began to fly south. It began to rain and the rain began to freeze, the poor little sparrows wings were heavy with ice and he fell from the sky. He landed in a barnyard where an old workhorse saw his plight. Knowing that if he sat on him he would crush the sparrow, he did the only thing he could think of to help the bird, he turned around and took a dump on him. The little sparrow being warmed from the manure was so happy to be warm he poked his head out and began to sing, the barnyard cat, hearing the bird singing, came to check this out. The cat snatched the bird out of the * and ate him. There are three things to be learned from this story: The first one is , not everyone who * on you is your enemy. The second is, not everyone who pulls you out of the * is your friend, and the third thing is, if you are up to your neck in it and you are still happy, keep your mouth shut!
