Hey all...just wanted to post a message regarding my lack of participation on the board.

There are a couple of reasons that have caused me to be online less than normal...which normal is about 20 hrs a day. Smile

My busy time at work is Jan - Mar....so during work hours, i don't get to "play" as much as i do the other nine months.

And the other reason is that a friend of mine and myself bought a bar. WOOHOO! I've been so busy with getting all this together, I don't have time to sleep, let alone hang out online. And we haven't even taken over the bar yet. Going through all the paperwork and application * right now. When we do physically take over, i'll be working BOTH jobs for at least 6 months, if not longer. so between working 2 full time jobs, and having a family, my PC time will be very limited.

I just wanted to make sure everyone knew that i was still lurking about, but just not at the usual rate.

so, i'll be talking to you all when i can. Very Happy

Sorry to hear you won't be spending as much time on the site, but glad to hear that you have gone inpartnership with a friend purchasing a bar. I guess that we soon find out if the rumours that you're an alcoholic are true or not! (LOL) Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Be careful. Don't give out the name of the bar too easily. You might be surprised how many people might show up.

Just because the kids move out of the house doesn't mean they are not still part of the family. Wink

Well...we all had our interviews with the LCB (liquor control board for those outside US). This is required in order to get the liquor license. and from what i hear, that shouldn't take more than 5 weeks.

We've narrowed the list of names.

The Blvd Pub
The Brookline Pub
The Pub Under the Blvd (acronym is The P.U.B.)

The place is in a neighborhood called Brookline, on Brookline Blvd...and you have to go downstairs from the street...hence Pub UNDER the Blvd.
so....all three of those names relate.

i can't wait to get in there!!!!

It's been settled:

THE BROOKLINE PUB. as soon as I get the logo done, i'll post it for you guys. T minus 3 weeks and we should be official owners. Smile

I'd also like to put an offer on the table...i'd like to have a website set up for the place. If anybody with that kind of experience would be interested in setting it up, let me know.

Thanks!

Here's a rough logo...i think we're gonna go with hand drawn pictures, but i was messing around and just wanted to get a feel for fonts and things.
