I feel like I've been too negative and have been knocking back too many movies lately, but the truth of the matter is that I've just found this to be generally a weak year, with occasional (very occasional) flashes of interest.

since we're here at the end of the year it seems like a good time for a retrospective. anybody got any award recommendations?

I'd have to agree it has been a weak year. I think we have seen only half the number of films this year that we have seen in the past couple years.
Off the top of my head, one film we really enjoyed this year was the comedy "Knocked Up". That movie really made us laugh. Laughing

I'll have to agree with this being a weak year for movies. I feel there was just way
to many re-makes of older movies and part 2's of last years movies that IMO just
outright flopped and was no where as good as the original one was. Crying or Very sad
