| This was a solid movie with good performances by just about everybody. It portrays some of the horros of the Bosnian conflict and some of the absurdities that rise out of it. The movie fails to to deliver the same kind of emotional power that some other movies of this genre (Hotel Rwanda for example) deliver but the biting sarcasm and the indictment of the politics involved serve much better than many other, more emotionally powerful vehicles, to underline the hypocrisy and the stupidity of political expediency. A good poke in the eye for the establishment, and worth watching. |
