I just got back from seeing this.
What I expected:
A shaky story with a few funny lines, a la most Happy Madison-type movies

What I got:
Absolutely worst storyline ever. It wouldn't hold up to children's book-type scrutiny. The story was absolutely horrible.

HOWEVER,
I was thoroughly entertained. It was nothing but a big gag film, full of one-liners and stupid pratfalls. But I did laugh throughout.

I don't regret going to see it at all, though I'd probably recommend it for a rental, especially if you are the type that would want to use some chemical enhancements before watching. There were parts I was laughing so hard I was choking (mostly Jonah Hill making me laugh my butt off). For a story so badly written, I feel good that I saw it.
