Jim Caviezel stars in this space B-movie about a star traveler who lands on earth in the time of the vikings, along with the space monster he brought with him. Kind of Outlandish (pardon the pun) but still kind of fun to watch as The Outlander binds together with the primitive vikings in order to fight the beats, which is precipitating war between the various local tribes. Not overly heavy on effects, and the effects that there were were reasonably done.

This isn't as bad as it sounds, some plot elements aside, as this creature feature moves along at a pretty good pace, has some decent action, and doesn't rely on cliches, quips, or silly references to outworld culture as you might expect. It's predictable in the sense that we've seen this story before, and know how it will turn out, but for all that it wasn't a bad watch. B-
