Well, it's fantasy story, so naturally in keeping with all the other fantasy stories you get all the hackneyed cliches and inevitable corny speeches. The action is fun in spots, if a little ludicrous at times, and the warfare shots are fairly silly, what with the ninjas and chicks swinging on vines, but hey, suspension of disbelief is key in fantasies, right?

Ray Liotta is terrible as he plays the wizard like he's gangster, but Matthew Lillard is pretty entertaining as the crony. Stratham is Stratham.

Bottom line, just turn off your brain and watch this as the light action flick that it is.
