Pull out your old school cardboard 3D glasses (included with the DVD) and sit back to watch this family flick. Well, the 3D gets a little tiring on the eyes after a while, but there's still some pretty cool stuff that jumps out at you. this is strictly for novelty though, and the DVD boasts a 2D version that's more watchable and less straining. Still, it's kind of fun watching the bugs and yo-yos hop off the screen, if you don't mind a greenish tinge to everything.

As for the film itself, it was kind of fluffy in a Brendan Fraser kind of way that most of his films are, and is nothing more than a kids aventure, but it's still watchable, and as long as you switch your suspension of disbelief button on (this is a kid oriented flick after all) then you'll be ok watching the very basic action and storyline. Not a film classic by any stretch, but as long as you're watching it at home you won't leave your couch demanding your money back either.

I actually liked this in the theatre. The 3 D was easy on the eyes.... Of course they had different glasses. it wasa nice way to turn off your brain for a couple of hours.

At home the 3D ir horrible. You are forced to retreat to theose little carboard two color jobs that turn everything a God awful pea green. The 3 D presentaion bites unless you are right in front of the screen. The nice glasses from the theatre don't work ( I kept them for my duaghter to use. )

For vewing I'd give the film a B as long as in 2D for the 3 d I give it a Z minus. Gave me a severe headache!!!
