Well, we've all seen the previews, and most of the funny sequences came out of those previews. Was it a particularly funny movie? No, not especially. Was it a great action movie? No, not especially. Was it incredibly dumb in parts? Yes, it was.
All of that being said, and for everything else that this movie lacked, it was worth seeing just to watch Robert Downey Jr and Tom Cruise do their thing, and I'm not a huge Tom Cruise fan. in this movie these guys were just fun to watch, and completely relegated to the side all of the other * about the movie that wasn't worth watching. With the possible exception of Heath Ledger in Batman Downey is just about everything that was worth watching in movies this year, as far as Hollywood actors go. Let's hope he stays clean this time, because if he gives himself a chance he's just brilliant. |

I don't know. Maybe it was just me, but I got about 20 minutes into this and shut it off. All I could think was .....stupid. I didn't see it in the theater because I didn'tt hink it was worth the price of admission, and I don't think it was worth the price of a rental either. I'd give it a C-. _________________ For every person with a spark of genius, there are a hundred with ignition trouble. |
