the curious case of benjamin button

ok, i'll have to admit that i thought this one would be a bogus movie based on what i saw in the commercials. then pitt got nomination and i relented and decided to watch it.

it's a story about a baby who, during infancy and early years, appeared to have the body of an 80 year old man. we see him go through early life facing the hardships that are attributed to senior citizens as his body is seemingly ravaged w/ characteristics of age. he does all of this while staying at a elderly care home (ironic, eh?) where his adoptive mother works.

it's here where he meets a little girl who is also staying there and they become great friends. the young man reaches a point in his life when he has to leave the nest and during his many travels years later, he comes in contact w/ the little girl who's not so little any more and the story of their love commences. the complication arises as she is getting older, he's getting younger.

this turned out to be a very entertaining movie. grade: a solid B+
