if you (your kids) liked the 1st one, they will enjoy this one as well. the heir to the "alpha" lion role on a wildlife reserve is kidnapped and brought to new york city. it is there that the lion cub grows up and becomes well known for his affinity of dancing.
the cub, now a full grown lion, finds his way back to the reserve on a fluke and ends up saving his family and all of the other animals from going without water..... just an all around, entertaining movie for the kids. grade B

Overall I thought it was a fun watch too, with the penguins being the best part, as they were in the first one. I have to admit though, that I found the whole "dancing lion" thing just as painful to watch as the supposed "real lions" in the movie did. Still, it's a good non-violence message for the kids, which I guess is what it's for. |
