well, remakes usually are not better than the original and this one was no exception. it was BAAAD. the movie features keanu reeves (klaatu) who comes to earth to oversee the extermination of the human race so that a race of aliens can undo all of the damage to the planet that has been caused. he is begged by jennifer connolly (helen benson) to have mercy on the planet.

only after seeing how the human race can have compassion, does klaatu decide to try and ward off the impending doom.

this was a HORRIBLE movie. i shouldnt have wasted my time with it and i hope you don't either =) grade: F

BHD Twisted Evil

I'll have to agree with you 100% on it being a bad movie to see has all of the writers in Hollywood run
out of good ideals for movies with all of the remakes that are being released lately? It wouldn't really be
that bad if they could get the remakes to be as good as the original movies were but nope they just won't
even try it seems like. Rolling Eyes

Well I just had to temp fate and watch this..... OH BOY was that a mistake Sad Sad Embarassed The first one was so good, and this one was so bad. What the heck were they thinking? Shocked I think an F was WAY to generous. Using a somewhat different grade score I give it a T (for Troll)

yep. Not exactly a classic, unlike its namesake. It wasn't so horrible that it couldn't be watched, but truly you'd be better off using that time to watch something else
