50 years ago, a child hears whispers and is prompted to write down a series of numbers on a piece of paper; this paper is put into a time capsule. it's now the present and john koestler's (nick cage) son gets that letter as part of a school project.
a professor at MIT, john koestler decrypts the meaning of the numbers and his son and friend start to hear the whispers. ultimately we found out what the numbers foretell and why the whispers are importnat
this was an "ok" movie. it started out fast and seemed to drag on for a bit. i wouldn't go out of my way to see this one. GRADE: B-

I watched this the other day. I think B- is a bit on the optimistic side. This could have been a bit shorter and would have been a better watch. They could easily have cut 30 minutes out of this andnot lost a thing as far as the story goes. I'll give it a C _________________ For every person with a spark of genius, there are a hundred with ignition trouble. |

I didn't really like the way this one ended at all and it wasn't one
of Nick Cage's best movies not as good as some of his other movies.
I agree they could have lost 30 or 40 minutes of it and probably had
a better more watchable movie in the long run.
I be stretching it a bit to give it a B more like a C or a C- _________________ Site Moderator

I didn't think it was so bad to watch, although I agree that some of the dross could have been cut out and some of the blank spots could have been filled in. Especially towards the end the was a lot of questions that could have been answered and expanded on. I won't elaborate on them so as not to spoil the plot, but the movie went into too much about the pedestrian stuff and really could have put a lot more into the reasoning and outcomes behind a lot of what happened, especially within the resolution period. I'd give it a C+ |
