Pretty solid drama/thriller about murder, politics and journalism starring Russell Crowe, Rachel McAdams and Ben Affleck. Good, tight writing and an interesting story that's intelligent, logical, and has a few twists. It's not as action oriented as the trailers would have you think it is, and action lovers will find that the action there is tends to be short and not adrenaline inducing. They could have created more tension and suspense in the movie, but as an investigative piece there's little to fault in it. Ben Affleck is a bit of a wooden stick, but that shouldn't surprise anyone.
I've give it a B. |

Story is great and complex. This was a British mini-series from 2003 and I highly recommend the series. Plot, characters and basic storyline are the same, but mini-series has more subplots, characters and story to tell. |
