This was way better than I thought it was going to be. A teen comedy based around the a self-styled journalist as he attempts to get to the root of what's going on inside his high school. The teen comedy portion isn't anywhere near as dumb as is usually the case, the main character, although on the unpopular fringe of the school's makeup, isn't a complete loser, and the mystery is intelligent and credible, right up to the end, even if the journalistic practices might not quite be what they should.
Bruce Willis plays the hard-nosed principal reliving his days in Iraq, and Mischa Barton plays what she usually, which to be honest isn't really all that interesting, and to not all that credible, since I don't find her even in the top 30% of the what are supposed to be hot girls. She's just not the sexpot she's always cast to be, IMHO.
Bottom line, definitely worth a rental. |
