this movie is about the forces of joe taking on an arms dealer who is playing both sides of the fence w/ his new nano-technology. of course gi joe defeats cobra and the arms dealer is "transformed" into destro at the end of the movie by having his face intensely burned. a love story is added to the mix w/ duke, leader of the joes, having had a past relationship with the baroness, the hot bad guy babe.
overall and entertaining movie. having read all of the comics way back, the story was not bad. it was fast paced and kept me awake - =) grade: B.

I don't know about this one. I look back at the old GI Joe,a d the cartoon series that followed and this isn't anything like that. This is almost boardeing on the super hero type movie.
Maybe I'm just tool old, but I'm going to pass

| I think that the biggest problem is that they've tried to update and refresh the G.I. Joe universe. I'm fine with it, but open and lame nods to the 80's fans are what hurt the most. |

| Not much substance to this one, but with a lot of action this movie won't bore you. If you find yourself laughing at the science then just hit your suspension of disbelief button a couple of times and just have fun with it. You'll forget about it tomorrow, but you'll enjoy it today. |

It was a lot better than I thought it would be going in but some of the stuff
is just way to unbelievable so you'll just have to do as talion said ("just hit
your suspension of disbelief button a couple of times and just have fun
with it") but all in all it is a good action flick.
