this is a modern vampire movie where being a vampire is the norm and humans are used, harvested, for food. there is a human shortage as they are dying off and one person has found a cure. the movie pits a powerful vampire who needed to be turned, or die of cancer, against a former vampire who now can save humanity.
as vampire movies go, this one was not great. the story was lacking and acting was just as bad, even ethan hawke wasn't very good. i'd make this a rainy day rental only. GRADE: C/C-
