a cute story about a viking boy who goes against 300 year of viking tradition and befriends a dragon instead of killing it as he's been taught to do. the boy (hiccup) finds that the dragon he sees in a secluded canyon is hurt; so, he makes an orthopedic device that allows it to fly and nourishes the dragon to health. by doing so, hiccup finds that everything the vikings thought they knew about dragons was 100% wrong!
one of the best movies i've seen this year. it was fast paced and thoroughly entertaining. grade: B+/A-
