based in the future, children, who reach the age of 16, are placed into one of five groups where they must remain for their entire lives. a competitive initiation similar to a college hazing of sorts takes place to join each faction. what the main character, tris, doesn't know is that she is "divergent" if anyone finds out, it could mean her death.
this was billed to be similar to "hunger games" in the way the story was portrayed and how it is broken up over several movies. let me tell you that hunger games is A LOT BETTER. this movie was not as entertaining and was slow in many parts. GRADE: C.
