a team of explorers that goes into uncharted island is confronted by king kong. kong kills off a good majority of the exploration team, but is later found out to be the protector of the island. kong later saves the remaining from the skull monsters that kill everything in their path.
not a bad movie. it was WAY better than i expected for sure. stars john goodman, brie larsen, samuel l jackson and loki from the thor movies, tom huddleston. very entertaining....

An interesting take on a character that just isn't that interesting anymore. There is only so much you can do with an over-sized ape.
Maybe it is because of my age, but if you have seen one King Kong movie you have seen them all.
