Watched "The Constant Gardener" over the weekend. Its a very good film and done very well but the reality it touches on in Africa saddens you. It is a eye-opening film that is worthy of watching but you will not want to watch it again. _________________ No matter how many times you try...you can't clone the dirt off your screen. |

Just watched it, and I have to agree. It does give you food to think about _________________ For every person with a spark of genius, there are a hundred with ignition trouble. |

The movie sucks. Syriana is much better.
Reasons why the movie sucks:
it's boring
doesn't make any new statements
doesn't proove anything
leading lady overacts
leading man is strpped of any perosonality he might have
"bad guys" (not really persons but you'll see) are more like a bond villain than real-life dangers etc. |

I didn't like Syriana, neither did my fiance. Found it quite hard to follow, mind you, the fact I couldn't read the subs on the TV didn't help |

Have not seen it but sounds amazing. That will probably just further my realisation of how ignorant I am, which is good, cus I am starting to open my eyes more and more, and I think that these movies play a big role. _________________ Amy Saunders |

Liked it a lot. Am I just imagining it but wasn't there something like this story a few years ago in the UK press of a diplomat claiming that his wife had been murdered? |
Have to agree, more worthy of the best picture Oscar than Crash IMHO.
jackass the movie is more worthy of best film, than CRASH...so that's not saying much.
i haven't seen contant gardener, and i don't plan on it. i'm a very simple man. i don't care for politics or movies about politics. and forgive me if this is offensive, but i don't care about other countries perils. to be honest, i don't care much about it here in the states either. i have my own life to live and my own personal daily problems. i'm not in any way saying my problems are worse than anybody elses, but just stating that i'm not willing waste energy on it. i know, i know. that makes me selfish. my wife reminds of that, so you don't have to.
so, when i watch movies, i like the stereotypical MEN movies....ACTION...BLOOD....WOMEN.....MORE BLOOD...CHILDHOOD HUMOR...MORE BLOOD? |
