I agree too. I made this poll up so people know what's better for the custom covers. Its a real eyecatcher that big white spot. |

That would have to be a big No for me also they just do not look right on a custom cover I do
not even like the way they look on Retail covers. The only way I'd put one on a custom cover
is if I were making one for someone and they specifically wanted it on there to look as close to
a retail cover as I could get it. _________________ Site Moderator

No barcodes on custom covers. Some creators use the barcode for jokes, or other movies altogether, so not even dependable for cataloging programs. |

I agree with you all. Bar codes makes no sense at all, specially on a custom cover.

It would make it a lot easier to determine what is and isn't a custom cover. So leaveing the Bar Code off is more practical in my oppinion. _________________ DVDCoverArt

I think there are two schools of thought here, one is the barcode on a cover and circular text on a label give them a professional look and lend to a sense of authenticity, and two is custom work should give the creator the freedom to incorporate only what he or she feels lends artistic value to the cover or label. As for my personel view, I don't believe either is needed and if I were to use them the barcode would be resized as to be as inconspicuous as possible and the circular label text would contain useful information such as the run time of the film, the screen format, sound format, and possibly the main actors and the director. _________________ No matter how many times you try...you can't clone the dirt off your screen. |

I think the bar code distracts from the cover. It's a shame after someone works hard to create a great looking cover.

I don't klike em. And I don't know why people who make customs go out of their way to make them, when the rest of the cover is so gorgeous! _________________ Amy Saunders |
