Im burning cds at 32x speed max and dvds at 8x speed.
So far burning seems OK. |

| well, tried different burning speeds. No recognizable difference, except that I got one coaster at high speed. I don't think that's a big enough number to be statistically reliable though. Could have been just the one in the batch. |

It has been my experience that only if the actual burn fails is there a problem. Other than that, I have never noticed a difference for succesful burns, regardless of the speed.

| yeah, but does the burn fail because you burned at high speed? Would there not have been a failure if burnt at lower speed? It's probably a media thing, and likely the rated speed is good( seems to be for the TYs I use now) but maybe it affects cheaper media more? Not sure. |

| haven't tried Imgburn yet. what is the difference between using that as opposed to the other ones. It's from the DVDdecrypter guy isn't it? |
