they are stupid. since it is only like $1200 now on ebay. and will probably be 800 by next week.

When I bought first gen PSX & PS2, it got to the point where I was having to flip my PSX upside down to get it to read the discs better (a known trick published in EGM magazine), and I believe a lot of 1st generation PS2 systems had disc read erros, or some sort of issue?

Anyway, I'll wait for any bugs to be worked out and a price drop. I can wait, even if that means a year or two.

I don't get WHY WE HAVE TO HAVE IT NOW!!!! Hardcore gamers and maybe spoiled little kids who need it for x-mas. Maybe I would of been one of those nuts in my younger days, but I've learned to wait things out ... it usually benefits you in the end, especially with how fast tech seems to imrove and upgrade over night these days. Will the PS3 have the ability to upgrade hardware? Maybe it's not even necessary if the games have to catch up to system. I read this system could be around for a good 10 years!

Again, I can wait. Laughing

it's insane. Even it you must have it soon at least wait until after Xmas, when the harshest prices and the biggest demand have dropped. Let some games get onto the shelf too. Smile

A PS3 with a 20 GB hard drive will cost consumers $499. Those wanting a larger, 60 GB hard drive will pay $599. The $499 version will also lack several features found in the more expensive one.

i will wait for ps3 to come down in price also.....and i figure i will buy the new Nintendo Wii after the first of the year .........i all ready bought the new Zelda for Nintendo Wii and going to buy the same game for gamecube when it comes out in a few weeks........ Very Happy

I work with a guy who bought his xbox 360 for $1800 on Ebay when it first came out.I waited until 4 months ago and got mine after the hype died down...people have too much money to throw around.I gotta admit I love my 360 though.. Smile

I plan to get a Playstation 3 mainly for the BD drive, but I'm definitely going to wait until I can buy one for retail or less!
