Hey all...just wanted to post a message regarding my lack of participation on the board.
There are a couple of reasons that have caused me to be online less than normal...which normal is about 20 hrs a day.
My busy time at work is Jan - Mar....so during work hours, i don't get to "play" as much as i do the other nine months.
And the other reason is that a friend of mine and myself bought a bar. WOOHOO! I've been so busy with getting all this together, I don't have time to sleep, let alone hang out online. And we haven't even taken over the bar yet. Going through all the paperwork and application * right now. When we do physically take over, i'll be working BOTH jobs for at least 6 months, if not longer. so between working 2 full time jobs, and having a family, my PC time will be very limited.
I just wanted to make sure everyone knew that i was still lurking about, but just not at the usual rate.
so, i'll be talking to you all when i can.

Sorry to hear you won't be spending as much time on the site, but glad to hear that you have gone inpartnership with a friend purchasing a bar. I guess that we soon find out if the rumours that you're an alcoholic are true or not! (LOL) _________________

Be careful. Don't give out the name of the bar too easily. You might be surprised how many people might show up. _________________ GO SEAHAWKS! |

Just because the kids move out of the house doesn't mean they are not still part of the family. _________________ DVDCoverArt

Well...we all had our interviews with the LCB (liquor control board for those outside US). This is required in order to get the liquor license. and from what i hear, that shouldn't take more than 5 weeks.
We've narrowed the list of names.
The Blvd Pub
The Brookline Pub
The Pub Under the Blvd (acronym is The P.U.B.)
The place is in a neighborhood called Brookline, on Brookline Blvd...and you have to go downstairs from the street...hence Pub UNDER the Blvd.
so....all three of those names relate.
i can't wait to get in there!!!! |

It's been settled:
THE BROOKLINE PUB. as soon as I get the logo done, i'll post it for you guys. T minus 3 weeks and we should be official owners.
I'd also like to put an offer on the table...i'd like to have a website set up for the place. If anybody with that kind of experience would be interested in setting it up, let me know.
Thanks! |
