Just curious what everyone is using for Antivirus...... I used to have Norton, but havesince swutched over to Prevx.... downloaded from online. I found I was having a lot of problems with Norton. Blocking pages that should be opening etc.

Curious to see what everyone will have to say

Three Strikes. I only know one other person that had AVG on their computer and they had problems with that as well But it was an older model. How does this that program work?

Prevx is 57 a year for 4 computers... or was when I bought it anyway.

I use Norton's and I've never had a virus, not one, so in that respect it works well. But it has been doing a scan of every page, sometimes....which slows the page from loading untill it's done. Also, it will scan "thumbs" when I open my pictures folder. Sooo it feels like it wants to scan everything sometimes which slows things down.

The thing with Nortons, after your service runs out, you can just reintall it and thing are back to new, with Norton's 2004.

I'll probably try AVG once and when I do my next system restore.

About less resources, my pc is using 500 mg of ram just sitting here typing this...nothing else. Maybe I have too many programs install... Shocked

I use Norton's Symantec Corporate Edition. Much more efficient than its little brother (Norton) and less intrusive. Uses very little resources and catches everything. Better yet, there are not virus definitions to renew.

I haven't had a virus in so long, I don't remember what they are like. Cool

I have Norton Internet Security on my desktop and Norton Anti-virus along with Ad-Aware on my laptop. So far no problems, however I will probably switch to AVG on my laptop when the subscription expires in October.

I might take a look at the Norton Corporate... I still have a copy of that on my work laptop, though we have switched to McAfee.

Did anyone running Norton find any problems after the update this week? I've talked to two people that said after the update it was taking up to 2 minutes 17 seconds to load a page. Much like Seiji mentioned previous. How do you correct that?

I'm using Norton 2006 and I also haven't seen a virus for so long, I've forgotten what one looks like... I won't be changing.

I have a link I can provide you if you are interested in Symantec's Corporate version. You do not have to subscribe to receive Definition updates.
