I've been picking up the DVD for Frasier and I've got to say that I'm really impressed with the writing and the humor. I only watched a few episodes here and there through the run of the series and lost some of the continuity, but watching them in sequence I'm really enjoying the development and the level of humor in these shows. I really can't understand why most intelligent comedies just can't grab the public eye, and I'm glad this one did. It's the only spinoff I've ever seen that surpasses the original it came from. Big thumbs up.

Speaking of spin-offs, which show produced the most. I know that Happy Days had a few:

Joanie Love Chachi
Mork and Mindy
Laverne and Shirley
...

Did any other shows have more?

Dunno. How many CSI's are there now? or Law and Order spinoffs? or Star Trek Spinoffs? Star Trek has 4 spinoffs, I think.(Next Gen, deep space 9, Voyager, Enterprise) Dunno about the other two.

I never really got the appeal of Seinfeld. The concept was original, and the quirky casting was interesting, but it just never seemed that funny to me. Seinfeld by himself is about as funny as cancer.

MASH had the abillity to make you smile or tug the heartstrings, Cheers would always make you chuckle, and Seinfeld had some original characters, but Frasier was the only one of the 4 that would make me consistently laugh out loud, and I think it had by far the snappiest dialogue.

i guess each of these shows is unique in its own way.
