Both look good but I think I like the bottom one a little better.
I would consider swapping the title and actor spaces on the front though, the title appears too small to me.
I like the larger spine photo, its a nice touch.

interesting template matey, my thoughts would be, move the spine logo and pic around, you know, swap them..the pic would look better at the top of spine, agree also about title...needs to be larger, good work my night flying friend Very Happy Very Happy

I like both templates nightowl. I think this particular movie looks better with the bottom one, but I really like the contrasts in the top one and think it would look great for a different movie.

I do think the bottom front box needs something more on both though. And I hate to disagree with GB, but I like this particular spine pic on the bottom, especially on the bottom one as it seems to blend in better (torso would end too abruptly up top without a border).

This doesn't have anything to do with the template, but I'm not a big fan of using the same pic multiple times on a cover, so I'd try and find one more pic to replace the back top left or spine.

The black one is looking great nightowl.

I think the bottom front still looks a little empty, but that could be a personal thing.

A couple of minor errors -

If using that title it needs a colon in it (Rambo: To Hell and Back), although I think the actual title is just going to be Rambo.

You've spelled Sylvester Stallone's name wrong on the front.

Love the work on the template...looks good, colour or texture can be tweaked, depending on what series of movies your going to be using the template on.

Templates for a series ie: Rambo, Harry Potter, and such are always a great idea, individual styles come through more, and a great artist like yourself can have alot of freedom to carry the work and style over multiple covers for a series.

*I would suggest to the new guys learning and reading though, that templates should be used for a series, and not for all covers* fell free to debate this guys and gals, this is my opinion only Wink using templates can make a series rock, using them all the time can cramp a style and restrict anyones growth as an artist....this is not directed at nightowl...lol, I got my templates too...lol, this is just a general comment, open for debate.

again Bro good job on the templates, for me it's all about the layout, the rest is aesthetics and can be changed for whatever series you decide to grab and make your own.

on this one I like the bottom, the brushed metal of the top one doesn't suit the series *imo*, I do agree that the front bottom looks a bit bare, might be utilized for a secondary action shot, but not taking away from the front image. maybe distress the black background with some texture, might fill things up a bit....keep at it..it's looking great.

cheers

Thanks for your input megafree Smile ......after reading your post I actually revamped this cover just using part of the black template......I do see what you mean about not using one style template for a majority of projects. Wink
