I think this is one of those shows that will have to evolve before we know whether it's going to be any good or not. The pilot was was kind of cookie cutter network tv. The writing was pretty standard and the surprises weren't really. The obligatory Hasselhoff cameo was a given.

Now as to the star of the show, it rocked. Great looking vehicle that'll set all the testosterone of you muscle car guys pumping. I want one. lol. The voice going along with it is a little drier than the original, and they didn't explore a many features, presumably because they want us to come back and see what it'll do next, but what they had was pretty cool.

the lead human character was kind of of a cutout, and seemed to me like he was a bit young for the role, but we'll see how the whole thing develops, and whether it goes to a cool place or becomes just hokey, like the original series.

Any idea when the next episode is going to be on, if at all? I've cheked their website and it doesn't say anything, nor does the NBC schedule. It was ok, but I want to see another one before passing judgement. Based on this one show I would give it a C-

It wasn't a pilot, nor is there a next episode.

It was a TV movie.

Now, there's a pretty good chance it will become a series next year, but that's yet to be decided.

We watched about 40 minutes of it before giving up. I thought the acting was TERRIBLE and there was way too much suspension of disbelief. I too thought the guy lead was too young (and a bad actor, to boot).

BTW, the voice of KITT was Val Kilmer.

It was listed as a TV Movie, which was also a possible pilot. Still listed as a possible series in 2008/2009. Either way it would need some work to make a go of it. Not sure if it is a victim of the writers strike, or just really bad script choice.
