Well, for the second time this year I went to see a flick on the big screen, and for the second time I wasn't disappointed. Pretty much every aspect of the film was a winner.

This movie had a complex and intelligent plot integrated with the characters, who were for the most part splendid in their roles (why they can't find a good girl for the Batman movies I don't know). The movie flowed along with a well crafted balance of drama and action, and never did the movie feel long to me at 2.5 hours. There was depth in the dialogue, although for some viewers their might have been too much dialogue around the nature of heroes, and of good and evil. I was fine with it.

There will be lot of buzz around Heath Ledger's performance (that was automatic, given the circumstances) but his performance really does deserve the hype. It was truly excellent. Aaron Eckhart also did a very creditable job, and so did Gary Oldman, but they'll probably be overlooked in the hype surrounding Ledger.

Bottom line for me: Best movie in the franchise. Go see it on the big screen.

I always thought that Tim Burton's Batman 1 & 2 were the best. Up until The Dark Knight. It's everything a Baman movie should be. Ye's it's a bit long. And the pacing can get stuck sometimes, but I was so compelled by Heath Ledger's acting (or should I say scared) that somehow those lacks bypassed me.
Heath deserves not only an Oscar but BAFTA, Emmy and all the others. He's so real in his Joker part that... I think he overplayed Jack Nickolson himself. Too bad he passed away. Thiy I think this might have been his best part ever. Unfortunately, we will never find out what he could pull off next...

Finally got the time to go and see this. Had been holding out for the IMAX but unfortunately that didn"t work out.

This is absolutley the best of the franchise!! Again all the characters are great in their respective roles. And yes the hype over Ledger was most well deserved. Some of the best dark humour I have ever seen. I've talked to people that have been to see it 9 or 10 times.

I would rate this a very solid A+..... and would not be at all surprised to see this as a Blu Ray only release when it comes out.

I loved this movie. I can't understand why my husband hates it so much, especially since he kept his eyes closed thru most of it (twice) and never even saw it.
