These have probably been around for a while but I just stumbled on to them and thought I'd pass the info on.
There are a couple of companies offering $1.00 a day DVD rentals from vending machines located in or outside of popular local stores.
One is called RedBox located in Wal-Marts and Walgreens as well as other locations. The other is DVDPlay and are located in grocery stores mostly. Visit their websites to find exact locations. All that is needed to utilize their service is a credit/debit card and a email address.
They are really only good for new releases but for $1.00 a day its a cheap way to see a movie you were not sure about seeing anyway. _________________ No matter how many times you try...you can't clone the dirt off your screen. |

We had a couple of them here in our area for a while, but they didn't really catch on. The pricing and the way they did it was so strange it just never made sense. They did rentals by 6 hours, 12 hours, and day. Plus the company running it was so inconsistant in keeping the movies updated that it just died out _________________ For every person with a spark of genius, there are a hundred with ignition trouble. |

Haven't seen anything like that up here in Canada either. Sounds like an interesting idea. |
