A very well done film on international banking and the corruption and criminal element of it. It is a difficult plot to explain but it essentially is this, the banks what to manage debt, that's were the power and the money is, and everyone owes the bank. It is not difficult to understand or follow while you are watching the film, everything is explained when it is presented. The bank is respected because many in power don't know what they do and most don't want to. They accept it as the status quot. Naomi Watts and Clive Owens characters are trying to expose the bank for what it really is but are thwarted by the bank itself, their own agencies and world politicians. In the end they practically go it alone in their endeavor. Many people die in this film and I can say that the ending initially will seem disappointing but upon further examination you will find yourself in agreement with the filmmakers.
I recommend you see this film.

Wanted to see this one, but thought it might be a rental. Clive always seems to be hit and miss. Might go see it now though.

Just watched this on DVD again. This is a very worthwhile watch if you haven't seen it yet.
