this is also a new series that features a group of four undercover police officers, led by dylan mcdermott of 'the practice' fame, who have a little more leeway in fighting major crime than other officers. they do not get the job done by illegal means, but they don't have to wade through the normal bureacracy... this one is by bruckheimer. worth checking out.
