this is a movie where the aliens, who appear to be walking lobsters, are confined to live in a slum like area in a city and treated like scum of the earth. we see two aliens make what ends up being fuel for a ship in an attempt to return to the mother ship that is just parked in the sky above. unfortunately, a man who's in charge of evicting the alien population finds the "fuel" and is exposed to it.

we see the man transforming into an alien and it is he who helps one of the alien fuel makers get to the mother ship so that he can go home.

i have no idea why this movie was even given the go to be made by the movie studios. it is TERRIBLE. besides the plot being bad, it's extremely hard to understand the lead character in this...not a good thing. this is a "nothing else to watch" dvd rental, for sure. GRADE: D-

It's an interesting "little" film from South Africa. It has a fresh point of view to the alien invaders thing, but has a problem too. All of the protagonists and jokes are somewhat of a local character. So it's kinda hard to follow the subtle humor and subplots. At least it was for me. But I recommend it. Very Happy

yep. If you're looking for a sci-fi blockbuster than this isn't it. It's a really intelligent, innovative movie, and is funny in a lot of spots, but the dialogue can be a bit hard to follow at times and I couldn't even pronounce the lead characters' name. The cinematography is brilliant, and the racial metaphor is pretty obvious. It doesn't really devolve into an action movie until the last 15-20 mins or so though, so if that's what you're looking for then you're wasting your time.

I thought it was very interesting, and worth watching, but nothing more than "meh" on the action side. I'm glad I saw it but I probably wouldn't watch it again. Maybe a C overall.

I just wish I'd have seen and read the reviews here before I went out to Red Box and
rented this sorry excuse for a move. I'm just glad I didn't waste but $1.00 on it and
that I didn't get it at the video rental store because then I would have wasted $4.00
on it. I'd have to say this is one of if not the worst movie I have seen all year what a
waste of time this was. Tri Star/Sony Picture should be ashamed of themselves for ever
letting this movie get out to the general public.

Rated double F- F-
