#2's are rarely as good as part 1 and this was no exception. ben still has made it rich, but has found out that the majority of his night time buddies are being moved to the "federal archives", dead storage, at the smithsonian. his attempt to rescue his friends is somewhat blocked by another egyptian who thinks he is the true ruler of his time.
in the end, everyone is brought back to the museum and ben quits his day job to be the night watchman again.
i loved the first one, but had a hard time finishing this one - a definite watch only if nothing else is available type movie: grade C/C-

I agree. The first one was kind of fresh and fun, but this one seemed kind of forced and more stupid-silly rather than silly-fun like the first one. There was just way more they could have done, and with all the possibilities available there were a number of things they did that they shouldn't have done. Not unwatchable, by any means, but don't rush to get it either. |

I didn't think part 2 was any where near as good as part 1 was. Part 2 was kind of
corny and it seemed to be more or less forced on the comedy as part 1 was much,
much, funnier but still overall a decent movie to watch on a Saturday night at home.
