i never saw the original, but this one was ok. a young girl hires a US marshal to find her father's killer in indian territory. the acting of the young girl, hailee steinfield, should garner her an oscar nod.
the first rental id pick on a rainy day. GRADE: B

This is one remake I just can't see being as good as the original. No one can reprise a role played by the Duke. May be good but I'm going to have to pass

I'll have to agree 100% on that, no one can or could ever replace The Duke
no matter how hard they try and any remakes will never be as good as the
original was with The Duke starring in it.
