an early exploration team is sent by a rich, and dying, man to possibly find something that will help him live longer. the team is headed by the man's daughter portrayed by charlize theron. they land on a planet and find a alien organisms that grab onto its victims and enter their body to have it act as an incubation chamber.
one victim, with the help of the ship's resident cyborg (sound familar?), escapes to spread the word about the alien beings.
this ALIEN prequel was just plain BAD. i thought that it would be decent seeing that theron was in it, but i would not see this even if it was storming out and it was the only DVD i had that i had not seen.  GRADE: D- (not an F because we do get to see the first ALIEN).
